Allergy is a disorder, which might as well be based on scale. While having an allergy attack, the body is unable to define what is important or dangerous, and what is not. Supposedly insignificant microscopic things can be enlarged to a full-size (1:1) threat. And as you scale more into it, the harder it gets to scale back out
